Jubilation Down Under as Australia bring it home. Astonishing batting from Matthew Wade there, never done much at international level in this format but that was clutch gold.

It is interesting that no one seems to be giving Australia any hope.

I think the lower scoring pitches have brought Australia right into semi-final contention. No team benefits more from lower scoring matches than Australia who, unless the openers go wild, will not score 180+ on a good wicket. They have a bowling attack that can contain sides well. Zampa is an underated T20 bowler. He gets no credit but has an effective record and has done well so far. Career economy of 6.84 is very good.
And into the final they go.

Aus aren't natural chokers so this final looks to be in the bag for them.

Steve Smith cannot be picked before Mitch Marsh in T20 for Aus from now.
Possible/Probable man of match in final.

Too many dot balls for the Kiwi's, it looked to me they were trying not to lose it rather than trying to win it. Well played Australia you deserved that

How utterly absurd New Zealand lost a World T20 final 3 days ago with the accompanying draining effect that would have but now today they start a new T20 series against India in India.

Yeah they're gonna be right up for that

My 1st Big Bash game followed this year and 46 million matched, the standard was very ordinary Big Bash has lost its lustre.

Superficially Otago should have no problem knocking off 223 v Canterbury in the New Zealand Ford Trophy (588K matched at innings break)

Hamish Rutherford goes too hard most of the time, no need for that today chasing 223

I like it Hamish Rutherford has played out a maiden v dangerous Matt Henry

I never watched any of Canterbury's 222 all out but I did notice and was struck by 9 of 10 dismissals were caught. If I had seen lbw's galore I would not have lumped on Otago like I did. Otago's reasonably circumspect start meant they drifted out to 1.35
