I don't understand why Stokes is being so agressive. There's loads of overs to go now.

I think Aussies were as low as 1.05 or 1.04 in that game

Just low liability laying, both teams went under 1.50 first couple of days, then bit of recycling green, stayed out mid afternoon onwards today went it went a bit crazy.

That didn't hurt financially but every other sinew aches....hope Lyon and Paine don't dwell...and that moron never umpires another game. Surely the greatest individual test performance in history when you add the hugely brave bowling effort too? Not a Stokes fan but world's no.1 cricketer now in my book.

Continuing the charade of Aussies pretending they care what other countries think of them....pretty proud of our demeanour throughout the last day considering how tense it was. Aggressive but fair, humble but hurting.

To be fair to 'the moron' it was a very difficult decision ... usually with an LBW shout the pad remains in place or it continues it's movement in an orderly fashion. The Stokes one at the end was just a jumble of fast moving legs, arms, body, bat and ball ... the only stationary item was the wicket :) My initial thought on TV was that it was 'missing leg' so I think he made the correct decision ... he had reasonable doubt and the Aussies wasted their last review on that clearly (and therefore stupid) down the leg side review a few overs earlier. That was out of pure desperation and I thought at the time they may well rue reviewing it in case they needed the review later on. Reviews are a tool to be used tactically not out of hope. They were discussing on Sky that JR has the best review record of the Test captains.

1.03 to Lay. Some 36.00 was matched for England.

Decent batting conditions for Aus at Old Trafford, no excuses here!

Broad's got Warners number by the look of it.
Apologies to Aussies, but its a relief to see its not just England that waft at wide balls.
