We have seen a lot of showery rain even in the south lately. It looks as though next week will be no different with interruptions to play very likely. I'll be posting updates.

Update issued 11am Friday 3rd July:

The forecast will change each day. The forecast will become more reliable the closer we get to the start. This is the situation as of Friday morning...

From 6pm Friday 3rd to 9am Sunday 5th: some patchy light rain, likely to bring a maximum of 4-5mm.

Sunday 5th to Wednesday 8th: low chance of a light shower, but generally dry and sunny with a drying wind.

Day 1: Dry. Sunny early, but turning cloudy later. Low risk of bad light/drizzle in final hour. Overs lost: zero to 10

Not enough rain to put draw on table as far as I can see and overcast conditions will make batting extra hazardous to very rusty bats on days 1 & 2.

Closing in on 16 million matched at probable stumps on day 2 is not bad at all. Being very circumspect here as I've no cricket trading momentum

Also a very good game in the making here, a case can be made for all outcomes. :)

36 million matched stumps day 4, possibly a tad disappointing.
