Meek performance from England on Day 4. You aren't going to win too many Tests in Australia with 6/7 batsmen averaging in the 30s.

Anyhow, Hobart instead of Perth for the 5th Test is a nice advantage for England. And Australia struggle in Melbourne. So all is not lost.

Hindsight is always 20/20 of course but it looks like you hung on a little too long?

Better than a loss though
I sure did, been sleep deprived for this game too, must not be sleep deprived for the remaining tests

Trading test cricket is a real commitment :)

Don't think I'd have the staying power.. especially overnight

Pat Cummins and Hazelwood out is a massive game changer here for the 2nd Adelaide test. They are so reliable Starc isn't.

Australia XI: Marcus Harris, David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith (c), Travis Head, Cameron Green, Alex Carey (wk), Mitch Starc, Michael Neser, Nathan Lyon, Jhye Richardson

Looks good but England have bowled too short. Engaging contest.

I would like to see Jos Buttler excel in this format but his position is coming under scrutiny again.

Its a shame he dropped that twilight catch it would have made my day.
Game could be over tomorrow if the Aussies keep plodding on.

A lot of uncertainty left in this game, I can see a massive draw plunge but I can also see Eng falling to bits, I've just greened.

Only 11 million matched deep into day 2, that is the nature of the game - rather dull

Glorious batting conditions until dusk and facing a bowling attack shorn of Cummings and Hazelwood, if Eng flounder here they really are a piss poor outfit.

Why does Root always flirt outside off stump like that? He was always going to knick one eventally. There's only so many times you can get away with it.
