Wheels are off now for Eng but I'm chuffed as my red has disappeared. Jack Leech's confidence will be SHATTERED after this display.

Head's destroyed England's fightback. England need almost everything to go their way from here otherwise 1-0. Rain won't save them. Maybe 5 overs an hour will?

I remember the Gabba test in 2016, Pakistan were 39 runs away from a super gubbing so the surface can become inocuous.

Only 11 million matched

This isn't the same pitch as 2006/07 or 2016/17 against Pakistan. If will be a great effort for England to reach 400.

It's been a very good wicket.

Splendid partnership building between Joe and Dawid

I Want A Daddy partnership 100+ then if they reach that 150+

Market has decided this Aus price has to start moving north quicker. Aus of course remain in a strong position

Jubilant at my day 3, well done Joe & Dawid. I went to school on ground history.

Massive partnership. The luck has reversed. England post 475-500 and they are right in it. Still a bit in the wicket. I'm not sure how much it is going to deteriorate, though, if Australia need to chase a score. 300 in the last innings doesn't seem to be as difficult in Brisbane.

I wonder if the pitch will continue to flatten out? The test in 2009/10 and against Pakistan in 2016/17 just got flatter and flatter, but both pitches never did as much on day 2 and 3. Last year against India it seemed to get flatter also. Strange pitch. Perth cracks but the Gabba just seems to bake hard.

One can't have any red on Aus, a REFRESHED Aus attack might just go BANG BANG and take Dawid & Joe early.

I'm trying to understand the difference in price between England and Draw, it feels like they should be closer together.

:( Both Dawid and Joe gone and new ball imminent, my potential win vastly reduced

Feels like a bad loss and considering where I was before play started it is a bad loss. The potential for a maximum win clouded my judgement and not for the 1st time.

Hindsight is always 20/20 of course but it looks like you hung on a little too long?

Better than a loss though
