Anyone used this and tested the latency ?

I seem to recall its just Betfair API users only who can get it - not being released to other tools like BA. Dunno why not.

Cant upload the PDF file

I asked Betfair for access to it, but they didn't grant it. So haven't been able to test it.

May approach them again.

My guess is that it's not automated, so it could be that somebody at the ground has to enter the data. So I'd imagine you will still be able to beat it, if you are at the ground.

Thx - I am gonna get an external API programmer to build a prototype to measure latency.

His estimate is 2 weeks or so, thou he’s busy right now.

It’s probably a 5 hr job for someone competent

I hope the latency is less than the 5 sec delay.

What’s it currently for tennis Scoring updates ?

If it’s more than 5 secs, the data tool seems limited to me.

This is the thing I like about TPD is that it's as close to instant as you can get.

Most other feeds go through a loop of somesort. Tennis isn't too bad as you won't do anything as a point is underway, but I'd imagine with Cricket you want something almost instant.

Access to the cricket API has to be configured onto your existing
API key.

Easy enough thou - just email them - I get the impression they want to get people to test/use it.

The latency of the data is recorded on the feed.

If someone at the ground - its 2 secs.

If by radio, 4 secs.

Being a ground spotter much be a decent gig ... unknown how accurate the info is - will have to manually test.

They don't get paid much so that's a worry.

Interested in checking this out myself, although have very limited API knowledge so wouldn't know where to start. Presumably someone made this interface for you?

How's the testing gone, is it accurate and reliable?

There is a ton of data on the API - will post that in the next message, but heres my initial thruput.

Will slim it down when I have time.
