And very encouraging for other readers ....
Is it? Years and years doing this full-time, custom software, and 3 yrs of api stream to replay in an accurate simulator... and I made about 40p per dog I traded. Yeah that's encouraging for a part-timer using Guardian and guesswork. :D

I find all this talk about "encouragement" strange really, A plumber can clear £300 a day but if you make a couple of hundred doing this and some think it's witchcraft.
Well done Shaun, still don't understand how you do it..!
Definitely magic!

Circa 300 GH markets daily on, and offshore GBP 0.40+ per race less applicable tax, and commission ;)
I don't do all races but I do all dogs on the races I do do. It was a 'fortune' day, 500 dogs at about 10p is more usual but it's 365 so can't grumble.

Sort of puts my expectations into perspective, I thought 10p was lame... but on the flip side I think I could get that.

Excuse my arrogance though, I'm talking through a very inexperienced lense, both with automation and Greyhounds.

I used to watch them emptying the machines on Skeg pier when I was a lad, literally buckets full of pennies and a Roller parked outside. And all from the people trying to win the fiver wrapped round a lump of lead (sorry, "keyring"). I'll take pennies..... I got another 694 of them today to add to the collection. Big time!

Too true ... some 30 years ago I was getting quotes for a new boiler and they added £1,500 for fitting which I queried. The guy explained 1 1/2 days for 2 fitters at £500 per day (rememb3er this was some 30 years ago!). I commented that even my solicitor doesn't charge that ... his response "I know, I used to be a solicitor until I realised I could make more fitting boilers!"

Similar, I've just put a new combi boiler in mum's place that cost me £2900. £1700 for the actual boiler&flue. And after vat etc etc the labour was something like 900 for 1 guy and an apprentice for 2 days. And they're flat out busy.

Yep, and the amount of commission that generated will hopefully inspire new traders :roll.

Let's see if Trap 3 is likely to get out and stay there. Just trying something out...
