Hello Gents /. I have a doubt .. Which one is more reliable to collect data for greyhounds? Have a look @ trap 1

https://www.timeform.com/greyhound-raci ... -21/599942
https://greyhoundstats.co.uk/show_race_ ... e=18-08-21

I'm totally confused.

Bit rushed, thought I'd try the dogs for value evaluation...promising first effort.

Looks good.
How is the Poisson Distribution going with the greyhounds now? You looked like getting some really decent results

That post was something different from the PD ones. It was based on converting data into odds and then comparing the market before the off to see if there was some value. Early results suggest there is.

I might combine the PD findings with it, to see if it improves things further.

No value as the market was more or less spot on.

Certainly be interested to see how you get on with this approach as taking the value (back or lay wise) would think prove advantageous. And if can add the pd data in and hone it further , could be onto a winner. 🤞🏻
I just be happy with making about £20 a day to be honest. Looking at automation side and the shared files as a starting point.

The market seems to form about 2 minutes before the off. The bookies do offer early odds, but the exchanges are far better if backing. (They are alright for guidance purposes though)

With laying, you can be doing so at quite high odds compared to the general market, so you're right, value is everything.

FWIW, here's a race that might see a steam on Trap 2. (Odds in white taken from bookies early prices)
