Hi,

Just been curious if anyone has a working system doing straight lays (min.10 months).
Ive got a yearly database (betfair historical data) (yea i know, who doesnt ). Checked all different kind of variations, all favs when in certain traps, odds, tracks, grades, traps etc and Im not sure if it made any money in long term. 2nd fav...maybe but thats pretty much it. Some do generate some nice profit too but not sure if it worked long term coz if lets say 2nd fav generate good profit in grade A4 but that doesnt mean anything i think...or does it ? I think one year 2nd fav will make money there and the very next year it might be A5 or A6 right ? Any advice would be appreciated. Perhaps im goin in the wrong direction. Perhaps I should be focused on different kind of data eg. avg.speed etc ?

PS: Just to make it clear. Not asking for a ready to go system, thats pretty obvious I hope.Just wondering if it is even possible to make money on straight lays in long term or not.

Atho55 could be your man for this based on his prior posts.

Take a search through his posts. Eg. viewtopic.php?p=230001#p230001

Atho55 does post up some quite interesting stats too.

I could offer some insights on the nags but dog related stuff is on the back burner at the moment. Ask away if you need anything.
