In addition to what Derek said, in order to successfully trade weather patterns you also need good trading software (like Bet Angel) and bad joints (the older the better), because sticking your wet index finger in the air can only go so far in obtaining an advantage over other meteotraders.

I can post up some weather trading tips below.

For the more advanced tips like the link below you can always check out the weather trading subsection of the forum.

Is there a weather section on this forum? I looked but couldn't find one.

Also, thanks for the links but I doubt you'd actually be able to predict the temperature using your fingers, joints and whatnot. If you think you can then I would happily take the other side of that bet.
Well I never said it was going to be a breeze, I can't do it either since I regularly get caught out with heavy rain without my brolly. I sometimes try to predict the weather but my joints are just too damn healthy so I can't compete with the older guys on the weather markets.

But you shouldn't knock weather trading, some cricket matches have more millions matched on the weather market than on match odds!

Believe it or not Peter Web has talked about this topic last year in one of his videos, he can explain it much better : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

Hi Hi Waterhouse

Forgive me if I have missed something but what's your target sport.

The reason I ask is I am aware Greyhound punters factor weather conditions into track bias, especially rain !!! It's an interesting theory.

Stay safe

If you want to make money on horses or greyhounds, weather/going, whilst crucial information for horse racing, it is a very small piece of a large jigsaw. He won't get very far using that as a starting point or taking tips from a weather forecaster!
+1

Weather forecasters are as useless as a chocolate teapot, can tell that just by looking at this clip, from whatever channel this is from : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9_mnLfdLlo

I don't know if anyone else from Betangel is participating in the daily weather marketers on Betfair but personally I've done pretty well so far and no, I have not had to use my joints. :D
