Betfair have just dropped my exchange exposure down to £5k (not that I'd ever go that deep anyway) and upped my exchange games wallet exposure to £100k. Good grief

Log in, click on account drop down box and select My Betfair Account and it's in there

Just checked my exposure limits...

Mine are the same: £5k for the main wallet and £100k for Exchange Games Wallet.

I've never even noticed this before.

I presume this means that I couldn't have more then £5k in play at the same time but once a bet has been settled the £5k limit would apply to all other outstanding liabilities.

Yeah, mine's the same. So all it takes is one idiot to lose £50K in 20 minutes and Betfair loses their licence!

It's just your maximum exposure not a limit on losses. You can blow your whole bank if you want but not at more than 5k at a time.

William Hill was fined £19M because they let somebody blow £25K in 20 minutes. If they had a lower exposure limit it might have taken him two days. At least the headline wouldn't look so bad.
