Hi,

Trying to get my head around if i place an opening lay bet on Unders and then a goal is scored shortly after so the price rises. How do i work out how to close the trade so i'm scratch on Unders and all my profit is on Overs?

For example:

I place a lay bet on Unders at 1.20 for £5

A goal is scored shortly after and the price on Unders rises to 1.68

How much do i Back on Unders to leave me with £0 on Unders and all profit on Overs?

To have a free bet on unders it would simply be £5.

To green up it would be 1.20 * 5 / 1.68 = £3.57

To have a free bet on the opposite, which is what you're asking you're just staking to recover your liability, which is: 0.2 * 5 / 0.68 = 1.47.

Many thanks Derek. Is there a way to get Bet Angel to do the calc and place the bet without me having to manually calculate it each time?

You could either manually set your stake to £1 By Liability (Back & Lay Bets) and back it at 1.68 or create a servant to do the same.
