Hi,

I stumbled across this forum accidently when looking at something else on the web. Saw this thread.

I have for sometime now layed some fav horses to come unplaced and used the little acorns extended Fibonacci Sequence: 1 1.5 2 2.5 3 4 5 6.5 8 10.5 13 17 21 27.5 34 to recover going back 2 steps on a win.

Looked back at results -

this year 40 22 55% 5 twice

19 2268 1070 47.2% 10 once

18 2233 1028 46% 8 once

17 2166 971 44.8% 9 once

Average win price of losing bets 2.06 bfsp - so at the 54.4% win sr profitable: the loss recovery makes it better -

So I think with the correct selection process you can use loss recovery to good effect.

prove it then

With me at least, milestones are something I always see coming but usually miss at the crucial post. :)

You missed this one on Election night (Dec 13th)

I wanted to grab a screenshot of it and it was sat on 199999 for well over an hour, I even saw you log on and thought surely you'd post something but you never, in the end I had to post something just so I could grab the screenie and watch the rest of the results come in :)

The system is so simple you dont need to buy it
Laying favourites at 2
if it wins you double up the stake
I have made thousands with this simple system
You win long term because favourites los 66% of the time therefore you win 66% of the time ..
Simple ...

I concur. It does work, as I use a similar system.

1 / 2.00 = 50% chance of win on average

If what you were saying was true you could just lay any fav 1.01-2.98 and be profitable, but we all know it's not that simple

if your laying at 2 strategies are profitable it's not for the reason stated, lol

Double after every win seems a bit odd?

I presume you go back to 1 point stakes after you've blown your bank. ;)

Well, that's what I'm thinking you are effectively ensuring your maximum loss?

This ain't loss recovery, this is recovering from winning - a novel idea. :)

Yeah that one hell of an agressive way to scale up. Most people nudge it up by a pound or two rather than being on £2^8 after a decent streak. :)

That's online attitudes for you though, a prior win is just a number on the screen and 'free' money to play with. Counting out bigger and bigger wads of 20s is very different.... quiz shows play on that psycological trick...they never put the pound notes in the contestants hands before they ask if they want to gamble. If they had to get 3 grand out of their own pocket to buy 3 counters and try and win 10 grand nobody would do it.

It wouldn't make any difference. I saw an episode of Deal or no Deal (it just happened to be on after racing :) ) where an old woman was trying to get £15K to pay for her daughter's operation. When she won the money she decided to gamble for the £50K and ended up with £50.
