This is probably (yet another) stupid question but I'll ask anyway as Betfair is down and I've got nothing better to do!

Lets say I place a £5.00 back bet and set up a greening automation for £1.00.

Would that be easier to green up / harder to green up or make no difference compared to a back bet of £10.00 looking to green up for £1 placed at the same odds?

With the lower stake you need the price to be shortened more than with the higher stake to achieve the same profit.

That's exactly what I thought, thanks! So providing there is enough liquidity larger stakes are more likely to green for a profit target (assuming odds go my way)?

More likely only compared to lower stakes.

Equally though the larger the stake the greater the losses per tick if it goes against you
