Irish going

Good and Heavy, seem to correspond to the same on the British tracks. But the following track condition designations have me confused:

Good to yielding
Yielding (according to guides, the same as good to soft)
Yielding to soft
Soft (abbr: "S"), which logically seems to denote a much more waterlogged ground than the same British designation.

Can anyone enligten me?
