Been lurking for months, slowly getting to grips with all this, and reading Goat's very informative ( and now very long!) thread on Trading What I See.
I'm now having a go at automation, what I want to do is get the bot to place a back and lay bet to make market, which I've done- but I only want it to fire on a strong fav ie the fav price is 10 ticks below the 2nd fav; and I'm only looking for prices between 2 and 3.
I've looked through Dallas' many bots but I'm being blinded by science! Can any one help?

You can test the price difference in either odds or ticks between two runners (ie, fav and 2nd fav) using a relative odds condition
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/relative_odds.html

But you could have a fav priced 8.0 and the 2nd fav 12.0 in a large field so doesn't really fit the term 'strong' fav

For that you can use a 'Fixed odds condition' to test the fav's price is less than 'X'
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/fixed_odds.html

Or you can use a combination of both conditions to say something like
Fav is less than 2.5 and greater than 50 ticks below than 2nd fav

Some example rules that use the above and along the lines of what you want are
