Hi all,
I am just looking at the historic horse racing data from
https://promo.betfair.com/betfairsp/prices
and I am not able to comprehend how the PPMIN and PPMAX (Minimum/Maximum price placed before the off (only bets of a payout of more than GBP100 included)) can have values that arent valid odds.
eg I can see values of PPMIN = 10.01, 10.02, etc in 0.01 increments up to 20 and beyond. How can that be possible? I am just curious as to how the number is derived, as to me it seems nonsensical.
If anyone can shed any light on this I would appreciate it!
Thanks,
Matt

Here is an example from Royal Ascot on the 14th. It was definitely a runner as it finished in 14th place, and had a PPMAX of 12.36 as can be seen in the attachment.

So is that due to a reduction factor coming into play there then?
