Hi,

Could anyone help me with this one?
I created a bot but not exactly sure if its going to work :)

I only need it for races longer than 2m but i think thats pretty much obvious anyway lol. THanks !

First you need to add a 'fix order of market selections' rule and trigger that at the start time or just before they go off

You'll then need to add a 'Race Distance' condition to your existing alert rule

and also a historic relative odds condition to test
the selections price now is greater than
the selections price 2 secs ago
plus 100 ticks

You might find the alert goes off right near the end of the race if it was challenging into the last furlong then got beat but if you are watching the pics then im sure you'd be aware of that anyway so could ignore the alert
But if it was a problem you could add further conditions to disable the alert in the last 5% of the race (or whatever percentage you want to use)

Both my Alert rule and fix order should be "EVERY" runner or "ANY" ?

Doesn't matter for the fix order rule so you can just leave that as the default Betfair row 1
and the alert rule can just be left applied to the fav as you have it already

One more thing.
You sure there will be no conflict between:
- last traded price >200 AND
- 1st sorted in order of favoritism ?

coz in theory if the odds are higher than 200 than it is no more 1st fav...
SHould i delete that one and leave only historic relat. odds...?

I included the new ver.

Thats what the 'Fixed Order' rule is for

It will remember the betting order at the time it triggers, so if you apply a rule to trigger on the fav after that it will always trigger on whatever was fav when the order was fixed - irrespective of what its price is now

So if thats the case then i think its better to activate the fix order rule right before last furlong, last hurdle coz a horse that was 1st fav at the off might be different later on. Am i thinking right?

There's no point in fixing the order around the last furlong as there's no fences left to jump by that stage

Are you using TPD?
If not you won't know the actual positions of any of the runners on track,

The fav could be anywhere in the field (ie, it could be running in last or second last even as they approach the final fence), so unless you are wanting an alert when the Starting fav falls you'll need to rethink exactly what you want alerting to

Im using TPD.
I think ive got it all wrong. You are right. The 1st fav doesnt have to be the leading horse at all...

So if using TPD if you don't already have one you can download one of the examples files which has the runners position like this one
viewtopic.php?f=73&t=24626

Then you won't need the fix order and you can apply the rule to the runner in pos.1 (or pos2, pos3 etc or use multiple rules to cover all those in the top 5 positions) and then have the alert go off if one of them falls

...but there is no way to apply it to the runner which is in the 1st place etc. There is no such rule available in ba.

EDIT: oh wait. I think there is but i think its going to be quite complicated.

You can with that file, you just need to add a 'Update Custom Rankings' rule (have it always armed, re-arm every refresh and unlimited triggers)
Then on the parameters tab update the 'custom rank 1' list with the SV named position

Now just apply your alert rule 'By Rank' custom rank 1 '1'
and that will then trigger on whichever runner is in position 1

You can leave the applies to box on the default Betfair row 1 on that update custom rankings rule (and configure the parameters the way I have in my image)

But you'd apply your alert rule exactly how you have it in that image
