History lists

I am unsure what is stored exactly in a history list. Is there a way to actually see one (assuming data is written to file somehwere)?

Specifically, if I want to store multiple pieces of info for multiple runners (e.g. back price lay price last traded volume etc etc), am I supposed to use a history list for each runner and each piece of info (e.g. price for number 1, price for number 2, volume for number 1, volume for number 2, etc.) or can I place multiple pieces of info in the same history list and the software will figure out what the relevant piece of info is given context?

You would store a piece of information to a history list, this can be for a single runner or all, ie, you could store the back price for every runner in history list 1, the VWAP for every runner in History List 2, the last traded price for the runner in row 1 in History list 3 etc etc
