Anyone who knows that downing booze, music and dancing isn't appropriate in an office working environment would be an improvement. :)
Not worked in many offices then Derek!

Offices I have worked in knew work time and alcohol time should not mix but that didn't mean the location had to be different ... just the time! Work time over, break open a beer and have a chat à la Keir Starmer, (funny how he was allowed to 'party' but not Boris!) ... anyway, usually the chat would consist of work matters, a less formal evaluation of the day kicking around additional thoughts and ideas.

The lack of office experience is one of the problems with career politicians, they don't understand how the real world works.
When I worked for Accenture every quarter end was an 'office party'. The beers would be cracked open about 4pm even though technically we were still on the clock until around 9pm when the final figures would be announced. After that most people went to the pub but some stayed behind because there were lots of nooks and crannies in the building with big comfy sofa's to 'sleep' on.

Happy memories :D

Number of parties at number 10 has reached 15, plus allegations of xenophobia, bullying and blackmail. It gets better and better - even an imminent world war 3 is no distraction.

Police criminal investigation into the parties begin. No wonder the Home Secretary was keen to keep Cressida Dick in her job.

"Criminal investigation", I keep hearing those words on Sky, and it's music to my ears. :D

A fixed penalty notice, perhaps a £50 fine would be good enough for me (and of course, probably the first PM with a criminal record :D ). The irony about it, wasn't he the PM candidate who was going to be tough on crime? And Kier Starmer's used to dealing with crimials.

BJ in hot water again after Kier Starmer was threatened by an angry mob over his Savile comments. He can't get anything right - he could fall into a barrel of tits and come out sucking his thumb. :D

You really don't like BJ do you? My view is once covid is perceived as over, he is done. If you accept that premise, who next? It's a thin field. Labour might be a better option. Although I quite like Nandy, I can't see her running a ministry.

Sorry chief. Forgot the title of this thread. Not a happy contribution from me. I retract it unreservedly.
Now where is the Political Rant Corner thread? :-)

RSPCA's taken Kurt Zouma's cats away. :D

West Ham's fined him £250K, and he hasn't got a cat to kick in frustration. :D
