Happy International Women's Day to all the ladies on here ❤️

(This is also a subtle reminder to all the lads on here, while the shops are still open)
Hopefully they don't realise that it warrants giving a gift as it's not even a month since I forked out £2.50 for some pink roses from Lidl for Valentines day

"They" aren't all the same, my wife objects to the enforced commercialism around 'special' days and would be disappointed if I was brainwashed by some phoney expectations dreamt up by a marketing exec. If I turned up with roses because it was a 'special day' she'd think I was a right mug. You picked her though Alex so do what you gotta do.

Well, good to see the girls get a day or two each year, it's the least society can do considering every other day is practically International Men's Day

I've had a girlfriend a long time ago where every day was national me day. To her that is, not me.

Greta Thunberg and Melinda French Gates come to mind, one is using billions while the other doesn't have that luxury and has to kick up a fuss :D

I was wondering why there was no queue at the tobacco kiosk, then I realised the lottery terminals were down. :D :D :D

If anyone missed out on the jackpot I'd happily give them a cigarette. :D

It's the time of year when I get up late afternoon just before sunset, switch the central heating on and think, WTF did I do that for, it's not even cold. :D

Try never to be timed out when buying something on-line forumites, what a palaver it gives rise to, anyways my ordeal is over. I honestly thought my funds were going to be trapped in pending withdrawals limbo for eternity

I tried those Bramwell Baked Beans from Aldi and was pleasantly surprised, no degradation in taste from the big 3 (Heinz, Branston and HP) and plenty cheaper. :)

Asda's ultra cheapo custard powder (25p a pack) is the tastiest custard I've ever had. Great for making my own Danish pastries, and none wasted, unlike the fresh stuff. Their branded beans are good, too.

If you've got a B&M near you, get four saveloys for £1. They taste just as good as the ones you get from chip shops, albeit smaller.

I don't follow latest music trends or know what is hip but I finally discovered what/who that track I heard on a commercial radio station about a month ago was that made a big impression on me, it was actually As It Was - Harry Styles ;)

That's something that really bugs me, when you hear music you like in a commercial, when it has no lyrics to search for you're buggered.
