Hopefully they don't realise that it warrants giving a gift as it's not even a month since I forked out £2.50 for some pink roses from Lidl for Valentines day

"They" aren't all the same, my wife objects to the enforced commercialism around 'special' days and would be disappointed if I was brainwashed by some phoney expectations dreamt up by a marketing exec. If I turned up with roses because it was a 'special day' she'd think I was a right mug. You picked her though Alex so do what you gotta do.

I attended an audience with Lord John BIRD the founder of The Big Issue today at the House of Lords. I wish their was women like him, truly inspirational.
Greta Thunberg and Melinda French Gates come to mind, one is using billions while the other doesn't have that luxury and has to kick up a fussThe Silk Run wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 7:12 pmI attended an audience with Lord John BIRD the founder of The Big Issue today at the House of Lords. Asda's ultra cheapo custard powder (25p a pack) is the tastiest custard I've ever had. Great for making my own Danish pastries, and none wasted, unlike the fresh stuff. Their branded beans are good, too.
That's something that really bugs me, when you hear music you like in a commercial, when it has no lyrics to search for you're buggered.
