Have any of you heard the latest charts? Two new groups have emerged lately and I think both will go to the very top.

One is called Queen, a four-man rock band. The other is called Abba, a Swedish group, two girls, two guys. You heard it here first. :D

The really stupid thing about X is that you see the logo and think of it as a close button.

I bought a pineapple today. Don't know what came over me, I had to look up how to cut it. There's a lot of it, but I thought I can't go wrong with chicken-pineapple kebabs. :)

Don't often see a "feels like" greater than the actual temperature.

Update on thunderstorm/CB radio obsessed nutcase: his girlfriend has left him.

I heard she was bored senseless of living with him, but I think the final straw may have been when he bought her a CB radio and tried to get her interested in his hobby.

Good old CB! 19 A Roger. Was late to it really in the 90s but soon got to hate the local muppets on it. Freeband DXing was fun about it, remember in high school setting up our own club and PO Box for QSL cards and wanting to go amateur radio. Can't remember the last time I've spotted a big silver rod anywhere though

It's funny how a login password you've typed in every morning for six months can suddenly exit your brain!

many years ago at the start of my *music* career, I played in a covers band. we'd play 4-5 nights a week, playing basic chart style stuff. it was all pretty formulaic and mostly autopilot stuff. one week however, for some unknown reason, i'd get to a particular guitar break in a particular song and it would just fly out of my mind, leaving me there stranded trying to BUSK the guitar break. rather than sort it out after the 2nd night, i just expected it to represent itself as it had done the previous 40-50 times we'd played it. eventually, it just slotted back in. who knows what the brain does, but certainly that raw exposure to memory loss in front of a few 100 people is an *interesting* experience :)
