I didn't know Schofield was an ambassador to the Prince's Trust, but not surprisingly they've dropped him.

A video of Rick Ashley just popped up on Sky News, and for a moment I was hoping to see the caption: Rick Ashley 1966 - 2023.

No such luck. He's playing at Glastonbury.

tbh - not a huge fan of the obvious *hit*. but, he is a lovely genuine guy. very self deprecating humour.

he's definitely prone to popping up un announced on many occasions, to the joy of the participants. saw one with foo fighters a while back!!

I was really looking forward to cooking a nice meal tonight. But on FA Cup final day, at 15:00, my childhood instincts got the better of me. The old two bags of crisps, chocolate bar and can of Coke has evolved into a flipping gut-busting 200-gram bag of peanuts, and the French Open just encouraged me to keep eating until the bag was finished.

I'll have to cook something light. I'll be crapping like an elephant on Monday.

He'd have to pop up unannounced or nobody would turn up. ;)

Last night before going to bed I bumped into my lightning-worshipping crackpot neighbour. What was he doing up so early? He was off to see the sun rise.

No problem with Rick. He just did what he could do musically.
The muso's, ex-pro musicians I know have no problem with his output but they do wish he had taken more risks.
But I think he's done alright. His USP is his voice and he's done a great job exploiting that talent.

Thunderstorms predicted here. Strangest sky I've ever seen, pure white. But I have a low horizon here and it's uniformly white right down to the horizon. It's like a piece of opaque plastic across the sky. It's rumbling and grumbling.

It's calm now, but still a bit weird. Same sky, it's darker than normal but with an opaque light sky. Very odd.
