I'm really baffled about the panic over meter readings or taking photos as proof. Whenever I've been given an estimate over a price change I didn't like I'd refuse to pay it and offer my own estimate. Most of the time they'd trust me without argument. I can't imagine them taking me to court over £2.

This is an odd one. Never been to one of these places but surely better to regulate than ban?

I used to have a mate that frequented such places and when he told me how much it cost him, it put me off ever considering going there.

Went a few times to Sunday pub venues that put on a comedian and stripper. Frankly I'm with Jim Morrison - "Never saw a woman so alone".

I used to do security in a 'gentleman's club'.

Ground floor was the bar where the girls pole danced and the clients/victims got to buy them overpriced drinks. The 1st and 2nd floor were where the 'private' rooms were. They started off at €200 and the most expensive was €500 for a 30 minute private dance where obviously anything went.

If I was inside part of my job was to look inside the rooms every 10 minutes to make sure the girl inside was safe. Pretty eye opening experience

Yeah I never understood it myself! I suppose if you're the type of person who can spend a grand on a night out without batting an eyelid that's one thing but it still wouldn't be for me.

Especially when it's only £50 odd in the privacy of your own home. :D

Mrs Sunak shuts down her business in Russia, but only after Mr Sunak was accused of hypocrisy.

I've been to dozens from Newcastle to Newquay when I was younger, from the lower end ones like you often get in Blackpool (who have also banned them last year or at least are no longer giving or renewing licences so in 5 years they'll all be gone) to ones that charge a fortune and that's just for a glass of water! and I've often been there with people who have done in £1000s within a few hours.

BTW, The best place by far for them outside London is Leeds ;)

But putting the girls aside TBH I always preferred far more to regular pubs/clubs hence I'll have been in more of them than nightclubs because they were always a more relaxed atmosphere. I don't ever remember seeing any trouble or a single fight break out in any of them, just the odd person discreetly escorted out for doing something they shouldn't!

I'm not surprised people are more relaxed in those places when they come down the stairs. :)

Yeah that's true. I worked in that place for almost a year and there was never any punches thrown but like you say lots of fellas getting thrown out for doing something they shouldn't. Usually getting too handsy with the girls (without paying them :D )

Also when its costing €30 just to get in the door you'll probably be more well behaved!

Prince Andrew's desperate for attention. Reportedly wants a bigger part in the Queen's celebrations and now portraying himself on social media as a kind and thoughtful person praying for the victims in Ukraine!
