I think your mirth is due to you conflating "the govt" with "the tories". There is a difference. Politicians do make the decisions, but there's a huge body of people putting the facts in front of them. I was talking about the govt response to a very difficult situation indeed. Perhaps Labour would have made better decisions, but we'll never know.

Why did you shunt my post from the "UK General Election 2024 (or 25)" thread to this thread? The "I thought it was a joke" is lame.

Because this is the place for jokes. :)

OK. How about keeping jokes on here and political opinion on the thread it was originally posted on. But if you like, respond to that opinion on there rather than act with contempt for someone else's opinion that differs from your own?
But do me a favour and either reply on the original thread or via PM. Let's not let a tiff pollute this thread. Yeah?

One of my friends keeps telling me he would love to ask the forum for some assistance with automation but is worried about revealing his edge.

I told him the safest place to hide his edge is in a chunky paragraph, because people just read one-liner posts and skim the rest.

He laughed but I was serious!

If you go to a Wetherspoons pub, take your own soft toilet paper with you. That way you won't need to use important documents to wipe your arse.

King Charles has authorized a new Royal Ceremony that the Guards’ regiments will perform anytime that Prince Harry is in the country.

It will be called “The Changing of the Locks.”
