There was a piece of software that provided the framework to attach simulators as people write them, so you basically had a virtual machine of every popular home computer with all the games associated with them. Can't remember what it was called.
Mine is run from raspberry pi, when I open the joypad all that in it is the Raspberry circuit board (which is no bigger than a smart phone) with some HDMI and USB connection ports
MAME wasn't it?
Always interested in it, but never had the time to set it up.
Yeah, that sounds famiiliar. I think I had in installed on my Windows 98 machine, to give you some idea of how old it is.
It's still around. https://www.mamedev.org/

Yes I saw it on Battle.net and some marketing posts. I never played D1 or 2 but am absolutely hooked on S24 D3 and the ethereals atm in what little spare time I get. I know a lot of Diablo fans are going nuts about D2R and I must admit the video I watched was intriguing - similar but different.Kai wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 1:33 pmSpeaking of originals CS, D2R is coming out in 3 days Looked amazing tbhCrazyskier wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 12:38 pmAnd the annoying but addictive music - I remember the original!
