You're missing the point. If it's stolen it should be seized rather than purchased.
What about all the things that the British Empire stole from other countries?
It's 2022 Alex.
Exactly Derek, how come people don’t slag off Scandinavian countries for what the vikings did or Italy for what the Romans did. The list goes on and on and on.

I seem to remember the Turks murdering a whole regiment of British soldiers and their officers during WW1 who had surrendered, 840 men in total.

Some people and countries have short memories and should basically just shut the fuck up.

The G7 leaders crack jokes on world TV about Putin without realising that he retaliates for each joke he hears about him with a cruise missile.

You can look back as far as suits your curret political agenda. Turkey was the heart of the murderous Ottoman Empire, but has recently been the haven for refugees from Syria and ISIS.
The Falklands was defintive in the Thatcher era. But I honestly don't think she went to war for votes. I think it was principle. To this day I don't know if it was correct.
Ukraine is a quantum leap from the Falklands.
Argetina was an easy target. Russia can't be treated with the same cavalier attitude. And, IMO, resorting to violence at any level is just an abdication of intelligence and humanity.

I've seen a few clips of Putin practising judo and flinging his opponent to the ground, but I really want to see the one where he gets a real pasting.

What the fuck is Turkey, a NATO state, doing purchasing grain from Russia?

Reports of Russia stealing grain from Ukraine and selling it via transportation to Turkey, backed up by satellite images and close-up photographs of the ship.

Saboteurs in the Offices, Derek! They sabotage while you and sir Archery are working hard on the information front.

Turkey has always been a bit dodgy. A few NATO countries wish it was never allowed to join.
Yeah, they use Russian-built anti-aircraft gear. All the more astounding that Russia is selling their state-of-the-art S-400s to NATO.
Remember - there is always a special foil hat for you in our little club ;) .

"Turkey has the hump because it wants to join the EU but some EU countries who are NATO members don’t want it too and are dragging their feet on approving Turkey membership. Not so long ago Turkey threatened to let Syrian refugees flood into EU countries unless they approved their application. Personally I would kick them out of NATO but strategically they add benefit or so they say."

Taking about our little conversation about why Russia was denied nato membership, Derek...

Take out these targets with a tactical nuclear strike (no fallout) and Russia would be seriously fucked militarily. It wouldn't be difficult to do with the correct planning. Interesting to note that the UK could do that on its own. :)

They must surely have launch sites, airfields, naval bases, etc. in the east?

The majority of Russia's military bases and facilities are located in or near to former Soviet republics. There is stuff in the east but not as much as was original thought, much of it has been run down.

Putin hit back at Johnson's topless horse riding jokes. He says if Johnson did the same it would be a disgusting sight and western leaders should stop abusing alcohol and other bad habits, do physical exercise and take part in sport.

Russia vacates Snake Island as a gesture of goodwill to allow grain exports to happen.
With the fog of mistrust we have now, does anyone trust anything uttered by Russia, Ukraine or Nato.
We are back in a cold war of rhetoric and threats.
Jeez, it could have been so much better with Russia on board at Nato.
But it flopped and that possibility has now receded to beyond my lifetime.
What a crap show!
