Ukraine Crisis
It's just a riot cop getting a taste of his own medicine for once, he'll be fine

Don't really know much about what's going on, almost sounds like a civil war is breaking out. World gone mad, need a news detox.

I'm a bit mystified by Putin calling up reservists. Human collateral hasn't won a war since before WW1.
These guys are going to stand in a field and shout "bang"! Wher eare the weapons for them, the kit, the supply chain?
If you're going to use nukes you don't need reservists.

They being called up but will be deployed over 4 months. Reason being they have a kit and hardware shortage. The biggest arms firm in Russia has been asked to work around the clock in 3 shifts to get things supplied as and when.greenmark wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 6:05 pmI'm a bit mystified by Putin calling up reservists. Ukraine says it will make very little difference unless they can suddenly deploy all 300,000 with all the kit.
Basically it’s Putin trying to save face but he is running out of options.
They might be deployed as 'election officials' and possibly 'voters'greenmark wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 6:05 pmI'm a bit mystified by Putin calling up reservists. Human collateral hasn't won a war since before WW1.

I would say Vietnam war was won this way with a Vietnamese attitude of we will continue on no matter how many of us you kill.greenmark wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 6:05 pmI'm a bit mystified by Putin calling up reservists. Human collateral hasn't won a war since before WW1.

Thousands are queing on the Russian / Georgia border. The length of the queue is currently 3 miles long of people looking to leave.
Putin might struggle to get 300,000 if this continues.

Search them for novichok and then let them in. Putin can't go to war without any soldiers.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 1:05 pmWhat, half of them might be FSB/KGB moles looking to spread poison.

Four occupied regions of Ukraine have begun holding self-styled referendums on joining Russia.
Denounced as illegitimate and a sham by Ukraine and the West, the votes are taking place over five days just behind the front line. Reports speak of soldiers going door to door to collect votes on the first day.
"You have to answer verbally and the soldier marks the answer on the sheet and keeps it," one woman in Enerhodar told the BBC.
Russia that its territory is coming under attack from Western weapons supplied to Ukraine, the BBC's Paul Kirby explains.
