The reality is that Russia has fought back against Ukraniane's attack, conquered ground and backed Ukraine into a corner bleeding them dry of troops with their superior military and weapons.

Russia has destroyed the Ukranian air force and defences including Patriot. All threats at the Russian border have been neutralised by the Russian air force.

Russia now has some 500,000 men in reserve and is well placed to deal with any sort of threat.

In the future Putin will probably be remembered as a hero for the way he dealt with this war by minimalising civilian casualities despite having the resources to wreck havoc upon the population of the antagonist country
Russia's military whilst large in numbers is 3rd rate and are being humiliated by something that Putin could only dream his military had which is courage. Ukrainians fight for their freedom, land and future, Russian troops don't even know why there fighting for you'd have thought they'd learnt from Afgan that you can't conquer people.

Russia are a laughing stock and as tin pot as that clown in North Korea all they have is nuclear threats which they can't use as they know NATO would absolutely steam roller them.

Putin will be remembered as a narcissist, a murderer, a terrorist and a leader who suppressed his own people.

It could be a false red flag. Putin killed 300 Russian citizens living in flats so he could justify the Chechen war. That’s well documented but denied by the Kremlin.

Yes I wouldnt put it past him to have staged the whole thing. I just cant take the nuke threat seriously. If Russia did use one in Ukraine, NATO will have to respond. I suspect they already have Russian military targets selected to take out. Using nukes almost guarantees Putins demise, and by all accounts self preservation in power has been his number one aim for years
I see the conspiracy theorists are back spouting nonsense about how a leader would conspire against their own citizens
This will probably go through one ear and out the other, but you need to treat people (or leaders) as individuals.

There are leaders and there are Putins, Trumps, nutcases, etc.

Some people use reliable news sources, others use CT sources.

Some people believe everything they hear, some weight-up the evidence they hear/see, some believe whatever they want to believe, you like to believe the opposite of the obvious truth.

Weak, Derek, very very weak. Like, "Karine Jean-Pierre" weak.
"Obvious truth" and then what? "Good guys", "bad guys", "misinformation"?

Hmm, partly they fight cause of propaganda, partly for money, partly they obliged by law and finaly some of them fight to teach a lesson to schizophrenics who declare that they care about universal human values while allowing their warmongers to send deadly toys worth billions.

The obvious truth is that Putin started the war by sending 250,000 troops and 1000s of tanks and artillery into Ukraine, as well as bombarding Kyiv with 1000s of cruise and ballistic missiles.

You could say he started a hot phase of the war, but what about the 2014 ukrainian gov '"anti-terror" operation with artillery and air bombings of "ATO zone"? Isn't it hot enough?

I imagine a decent proportion of armor lost ends up in Ukranian hands

The loses might become to great for even Ukraine to stomach.

We shall see.
