Ukraine have blown up another bridge.
My question would be, if these 1200 troops keep ploughing forward into Russia, sooner or later they will get isolated, surrounded and probably annihilated. What’s the exit plan or are they doing “Let’s do a Wagner and go all the way to the Kremlin” ?
They are largely facing inexperienced conscripts who surrender and Ukraine have elite units in there. I think the plan is to force Russia to remove some of their best units from Ukraine.

Also, Putin may control the media but he can't control the mouths of 100,000+ people being evacuated from their homes and can see Russia are getting annihilated. Massive morale boost for Ukraine and body blow for Putin. :D
Will sound mad too many but wish I was young enough to go join and help them. Ukraine not Russia.

Ukraine have taken out a third bridge. :D

Sean Bean says it's unlikely Ukraine intend to push further into Russia, otherwise they would need those bridges.

The United States has added 105 Russian and Chinese companies to a trade restriction list for allegedly supporting the Russian military, ramping up pressure on Moscow's war efforts in Ukraine.

Also, there is friction between the UK PM and US president as it seems Ukraine used UK built and supplied storm shadow missiles to destroy 3 bridges inside Russia. The original agreement stipulated that they were only to be used inside Ukraine as defence munitions.

O dear, what a shame, never mind.

In war it’s rather stupid to tell one side what they can use or not use.

The UK storm shadow missile has a range of 160 miles. But then think about it, the F16 fighter jet has a range of 2,000 miles. So, the USA is saying no to long range weapons but given the go ahead authorised supply of F16s.

Ok, so you can fly them but not armed with long range weapons ?

But what stops someone flying them into gas and or nuclear power stations ? Yes that would be committing suicide but you might get a few pilots who think it’s a good idea…

Not a cost effective use of weapons though. I wonder why they've been supplied. Perhaps it's to flag to Putin that we are willing to provide hardware that can be upgraded to ageniune threat nce the pilots are up to speed. I hope for stealth and the return of reason for Ukraine v Russia. It was nuts at the outset and stilll is a waste of humanity. But Putin (and it is Putin) dowan't really give a shit about humanity. Noyt Ukarainians, Syrians or his own Russians. They are all expendable on the anvil of his ego. He is nuts. If there is a God I hope he smites Putin with his wrath. Sin will bring it's own punishment to Putin sooner or later.

Putin's visiting Mongolia, a country that's signed up to the ICC. They could arrest and extradite him to the Hague!

Give them free oil and gas in return. :)

They won’t though as friends with Russia and China. They have too much to lose economically by doing so.

But the visit was planned and known about 4 months ago. Therefore why didn’t someone just shoot or blow Putin up. Who would really care ?

Could have paid a small unit of 24 a million each to do the job. Or just give me the £24 million and new identity.

More sabre-rattling by Putin.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crrlr87e5elo

Seems like he is worried.

Starmer has made a statesmanlike remark. Russia can stop the war....... now.
Easy.
No effort. No more carnage. Just try to rebuild.
The Donbas looks secured as Russian. God help them rebuilding.
The boundaries have now been set.
Putin has created a new Iron curtain along the Donbas.
Unfortunately for him he has proved his regime is a pile of crap.Supported only by state propaganda.
But he still has nukes. But so do we. MAD still works.

He may decide to hit the logistics hub in Poland where all western weapons are stored before going to Ukraine. Then it’s upto NATO if they want to trigger article 5.

His excuse might be that the west is going allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow and other long range missiles on Russian sole.

It will probably come down to bluff and raised tensions. Problem is it only takes one commander on the ground to make a mistake or do it on purpose.

I wouldn’t rule out NATIO and Russia being at war sometime soon.

I also think he is 100% mad enough

Zelensky needs to send a message to NATO and the west.

If you don’t take the shackles off then Ukraine surrenders and marches its people west to the Polish border.

That would cause the EU, NATO and the west one hell of a problem.

That’s my advice to Zelensky and Ukraine.
