Nine countries met on Thursday and agreed to send the following:

UK - 600 Brimstone missiles and 14 Challenger 2 tanks.
Denmark - 19 French-made Caesar self-propelled howitzers.
Estonia - howitzers, ammunition, support vehicles and anti-tank grenade launchers.
Latvia - Stinger air-defence systems, two helicopters, and drones.
Lithuania - anti-aircraft guns and two helicopters.
Poland - S-60 anti-aircraft guns with 70,000 pieces of ammunition.
Czech Republic - produce further large calibre ammunition, howitzers and APCs.
Netherlands - will announce its package of support on Friday.
USA - will announce its further package of support on Friday.
Germany - ?
France - ?

Poland and Finland are ready to send Lepoard tanks but can't without German sign-off.
In the face of the contuing support for Ukraine, Putin/Russia/Kremlin (whoever it is that's making the decisions) has/have clearly decided to withdraw during the winter from battlefield combat and instead to chuck missiles from long range. It strikes me as a naive tactic. The resut will be Ukraine's friends supplying increasingly sophisticated weapons. Putin or whoever should recognise they're rubbish at this stuff and have created a coalition against them far stronger than it was before.
+ 1

You have to take your hat off to Ukraines resilience and self belief. Yes they getting allot of military support from the west but on paper Russia should role over them in a few weeks given the number of tanks, fighter jets, attack helicopters and size of their armed forces.

Just goes to show that if you don’t know what your doing then numbers mean fuck all.

Would much rather have Ukraine and it’s people on my side if I needed them, they not scared of anything or anyone.

💪
Countries never learn, you can have the numbers, weaponry and occupy land but you can't conquer people.

Putin's launched a frigate into the Atlantic armed with hypersonic missiles. He must be praying the crew have switched off their mobile phones.

I honestly expected Russia to march through Ukraine and was only worried about whether they would go into Poland et al.
I think it was TraderPat that said that idea was risible and Russia didn't have the resources or will to do that. And that has been proven correct. Putin seems to launch very crude assaults and has been defeated at every step.
Quite what Putin's climbdown will be, who knows. But I suspect come the spring Russia will launch another ground offensive. But the result will be the same as before. Slaughter, displacement of population and destruction for no good reason and will ignore the blindingly obvious.
And that is that this whole conflct is tragic and pointless.

Not sure why Germany are so reluctant to supply weapons to Ukraine. Been like that since the start

Threats (don't know from whom) of sending tanks to Ukraine with or without Germany's permission.
