Artemis 1 Rocket Launch

After another postponement I'm beginning to wonder if this $40b program will ever get this first unmanned rocket off the launch pad this year

Glad I didn't fly to Florida to see the launch.

I do wonder about these projects.
Is it simple human curiosity about other worlds?
Is it a technological challenge that is assumed to produce more useful inventions?
Is there evidence of resources on Mars to make it viable as a 2nd planet for humanity? (After we've screwed this one up).
In a way, it''s reassuring. The world appears to be a bit bonkers at present but the really clever folk are looking outwards.
Still a bit tricky to square it with Pakistan being a 3rd under water.
