Never watched Harry Potter but my best memories go back to the Comic Strip and numerous appearances in comedies of the time. A distinct act.

Yes, I never watched Cracker either, and Laugh, I Nearly Paid My Licence Fee (only watched the first episode) probably wasn't one of his best. He had a couple of parts in both, Blackadder and The Young Ones. It was surreal seeing him interviewed in real life as a normal bloke.

I just remembered Alfresco, 1983 sketch show. It was the first I heard of Fry and Laurie, and I didn't even realise Emma Thompson was in it.
