I nearly included Stanley Matthews but realised he was more of an all-rounder.
But returning to the point of the thread, Pele was a fabulous player even if you have to search through youtube to appreciate it. There's a phrase that defines modern life. Heigh-ho, go with the flow! :-)

Apologies for calling them selfish, I only meant to say that they lacked consideration for others and that they were more concerned with their own goalscoring records, that's all :)

But seriously, the only time I've seen Pele play was in that Stallone film against Nazi Germany :lol: Don't honestly remember much about that match but it felt pretty scripted.

That movie is probably worth a rewatch now, in honour of Pele. Must have been iconic at the time.

They put Stallone in goal, of course they did. But that is quite the lineup, especially the attacking trio of Pele, Michael Caine and Mr. Bean :D
