Political leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, has been killed in Iran. :D
Political is the critical word there. These organisations are wide and deep. There are politicians and military. To hit a politician is going to make things worse. I'm beginning to think the Israeli govt have lost the plot.
Putin's a political leader.

Only by a narrow definition, probably narrower than the Hamas poltician that got zapped. Although Hamas may well aspire to Putin's level of control.

Big mistake for politicians asking for forgiveness. Sunak tried that! Apologise if you think you've fallen short, but don't ask for forgiveness prime minister Yahoo. You'll get none!

Foreign secretary announced limitations on arms to Israel for fear of breaching international law.

Not much point as the USA will supply them. What it does mean is the company in East Sussex will lose £14 million income and no doubt that will lead to job losses and hence ultimately the tax payer picks up the bill.
