If you like breaking bad watch The Shield and Sons of Anarchyweemac wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 10:22 pmBehind the curve? I've never yet seen a single Star Wars film!
With my taste for late 60's to early 80's films and ancient TV sitcoms, I never thought I'd be interested in a more recent/modern show, but bought the Breaking Bad series on DVD and am pretty flabbergasted by just how gripping, well filmed, well scripted, well acted and thought-provoking it is. Just over half way through it, and now it's keeping me up till 3am every night like a meth addict who just needs another 'bump'.
It's in the Guinness Book of Records as the most critically acclaimed TV show ever. I can see why.
Stuff to watch

Looks a good crack
Managed to get round to watching Rocketman. 9/10 for me. Don’t normally enjoy a musical. Geezer pulls it off.
Watched Series 1 of Innocent, decent also

For me LINE OF DUTY is the one! Shit when it ends. Need more of it!

I'd have watched it years ago if I'd known there was so much sex and nudity in it!

As the illustrious Euler has already pointed out (and no, I have not checked every msg on this thread to see if he has) but "Free Solo" has to be on the best documentaries ever.
I watched the final ascent scene again recently (the last 25mins) and it puts the shits up me...and every time I watch it I still think he's going to fall...
(but he doesn't)

i recommend this recent panorama as a wake up call to where AI can take us (for good and bad):
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m ... -yet-human
synopsis:
From Amazon’s Alexa to improvements in cancer care, artificial intelligence is changing our world. But today leading tech figures from Silicon Valley worry about the future that’s being created. Brad Smith, president of Microsoft, believes George Orwell's 1984 could become reality by 2024. Panorama has uncovered new evidence of AI being used by police in China to recognise the emotions of detainees in order to help determine guilt or innocence. China has vowed to become the world's AI superpower by 2030, sparking a new arms race with America. Both countries are pouring billions into cutting-edge military tech, including autonomous weapons. AI could usher in a golden age, but without urgent regulation, experts warn we could lose control of artificial intelligence, a prospect, they say, that should scare us all.

I watched another doc about AI and as they say the limit is Technological Singularity...which was really scary.
To develop deep learning 'AlphGo' to master 'Go' was impressive but then to do it again as 'AlphaGo Zero' (without deep learning) and for it to learn itself and whoop AlphaGo 100-0 was really itchy-bum time !
Terminators are on their way !
