Really interesting doc on Barney Curley aired a few weeks ago on Irish tv. Might need a VPN to watch it but well worth 50 mins of your time.

Agreed. I think anyone here with an interest in the workings of the Geegee's (or Greys) should give it a view.
Cheers!

I have become addicted to American constitutional rights, and youtube videos of auditors.

Here is a classic.

Exactly what was he trying to prove? These idiots with cameras really get up my nose.

A couple of weeks ago I was driving along and this guy on a bike comes out of the bicycle lane to overtake another cyclist and causes me to jam on the brakes. I gave a little tap on the horn and threw my hands up as if to say (insert chosen insult here). At the next set of lights he comes alongside and starts banging on the window, I opened the window and for about 30 seconds listened to him rant and rave before smiling at him and driving off. At the next lights he returned even more pissed off so I listened to him rant again and then he banged on the bonnet so enough was enough. Just as I was getting out of the car I noticed he had a little camera on his helmet so then it all made sense. Then he stands there saying "Hit me then go on" At this stage he was proper pissed off, he reminded me of that Pepperami ad  In the end I just got back in the car and said "I don't have to hit you mate, somebody else will"

There seem to be a lot of cyclists like this on the streets hoping to get into a confrontation with a motorist just so they can put the video online.

My favourite example of this:

Keep watching to the end :D

The normal theme of these videos is that the officers (normally paid between $60k and $85k a year, try to invoke their
understanding of the law, which is inaccurate. They NEVER back down - until a supervisor or a lawsuit is brought.

The right to refuse to answer/self incriminate/free speech is a mainstay of the USA constitution.

If they wanted to make a decent living suing the officials who wrongfully detained/arrested etc, it's pretty easy - but usually they just
want better academy training.

Filming in a public place is clearly legal in the USA. Private security companies hate it,

Perception can paint a picture, but that picture can be painted by anyone… all it takes is words. The place and time is important.

I've been watching the UK ones recently in the background while I do some other work. The videos are usually too long but can have some classic moments. Auditing Britain is good. There are a couple of more provocative ones like UK MEET THE TYRANTS (an angry Scottish guy who winds up security guards). Buzztex was quite funny, he would go into public buildings like libraries and police stations winding them up by saying stuff like he can't touch the pen to sign in, in case he catches coronavirus and then spraying his complaint form with so much sanitiser that it's dripping everywhere.

I understand why they get a bad reputation but it's not a bad thing to try and prove a point about rights when most people aren't aware. They are looking for a reaction and people find conflict entertaining

If only Solskjaer had been like this he'd still be in a job.
