Looked at the weather forecast, no rain around.
Gave the lawn a good watering, now it's pissing down.

You need to look at the bigger picture. :-)

I saw a 30 by 30 grid of idiots in the centre of a football pitch doing their usual stuff and thought, it must take 15 minutes to clear them off the pitch. Popped out for a fag, came back and the match was 2 minutes in play!

No word from the NRA or gun manufacturers after the latest shooting.
Funny that!

Just walked past 3 kids who all said to me, "Have a nice day sir"!!

Kids didn't behave like that in my day!

I realise it's unprofessional to get frustrated and rant about your trading, but I've just traded three 0-0 draws in sequence. That's 270 minutes of football without a goal!

My record is 3 0-0's and a period of extra time about a decade ago. Think I worked out at the time it would've been about 5000/1.

Microwave meals with a plastic tab that breaks off when you pull it, ground coffee and pasta packets with a sticky re-seal tab that doesn't stick. Why to you need to reseal pasta anyway? It doesn't go soft.

Seattle/Portland match delayed by protesters parachuting onto the pitch.

No, actually, it's not protesters, it's the flipping football club that's organised it!

Sitting in the garden enjoying my sunshine, beer, cigarettes and looking forward to a takeaway when the sun goes down, I get a call from my doctor's surgery advising me that taking all data into consideration, there's a 52% chance of something bad happening in the next ten years.

She then proceeds to explain what that means: "In a roomful of a hundred people similar to you"...

I interrupted to say, "I know, there's about a 1.95 chance" (it's 1.923 actually) - she says "No! it's 52%".

I can see what the discrepancy is. The MET office illustrates thin, high-altitude cloud as cloudy.
