I asked the woman at the tobacco kiosk where the sandwiches have gone. She said they've been moved to the entertainment centre, where TVs and tech are sold!!

Apparently, they're not allowed to have anything sweet near the entrance. I guess the idea is to make fat people burn extra calories walking 20 yards so they buy twice as much!

When I pop out for a cigarette I usually take my phone with me and navigate to the market I'm trading, in case a goal is scored and action's required. But when I'm trading South America I just take my chances. Not much chance of a goal being scored in the flipping match, never mind the time it takes to smoke a fag!

FFS, they can't even score from a penalty.

I'm with Scottish Power. Absolute wankers, they send you a bill then send you a reminder half an hour later with a warning you'll be cut off, charged £200 and threatened with legal action and prison if you don't pay!
Thanks, that's confirmed it's time for a change.
This is what I mean. I sent them a meter reading 4 days ago. It's a lot of threats to recover £8.05!

So you ask me for a reading, I give you one, you bill me for it, then you estimate how much I've used in the next three days and add that to the bill. Why don't you just estimate the flipping bill in the first place??

I noticed that my pre price rise estimate (1sept) was way lower than usual. Presumably so they could charge more units at the higher price after it had been read properly.... . So as I'm refusing to have a smart meter for as long as possible I did my own reading on the 28th Sept that was a nice few units more than I'd actually used. Two can play that game.

I wasn't brave enough to add thousands of units but it felt like a small fck-u. But they do let you do your own reading, and I'm not a "professional" meter reader so....oops.

I watched the first episode of David Attenborough's Frozen Planet II last night. They should advise you at the beginning to have a box of tissues by your side!!

I've given up watching nature progs, it's just things eating each other with a big dose of anthropomorphising to tug at the heart strings.

Daytime animal welfare charity ads are as bad, and Imo the graphic footage of animals suffering should be post-watershed.

Agree. People who abuse donkeys should be rounded up and shot. You can't train the incompassionate to care for donkeys!

I saved a mouse's life. The cat is fuming but at least the mouse is happy. :D
