Rugby players tackle Just Stop Oil nutters but stop short of giving them a kicking!

I don't see the point of having the League Two playoff final at Wembley. It's more than half empty. The fans have had to trudge down 100's of miles. How many Premier League stadia could have accomodated them with ease?

I don't see the point in having a playoff at all when they've just had a 46-match league!

Ah, you mean rampant commercialism.
Well, for me, the drama of the play-offs is glorious. But also devastating (depending on your loyalties).
It just seems to me that running up a big stadium like Wembley to be less than half full is daft.
Hillsborough, Villa Park, Newcastle, Spurs, West Ham, Man U or C.
But no, let's less than half fill the national stadium. These corporate/elite suites don't fill themselves do they.

Every young guy working for ITV will. They'll all be saying, it wasn't me!
Or... it was me. Equals tabloid kerching. How far has Schofield fallen. Mr Squeaky clean has had his career and reputation foobared.
But I imagine he has a penny or two to get by.
He'll need it. I doubt Webuyanycar will want anything to do with him now.
I have no idea want went on but there are videos of him in a pub with the boy back in 2014. No idea how old he was back then but from what I have seen he looks pretty young.

Outrageous. If I had a senior position in a company and a young bird lower down the ranks wanted to get off with me, can you imagine me taking advantage of her? :D

I've had to modify my football automation. Any market with a long delay automatically terminates.

Thanks Bumfair!

When you're famous and you've just admitted to being a liar, it probably makes sense to keep your mouth shut for a while. :)

I need to post some documents with a cover note and I can't find a single scrap of paper in my flat, I haven't used it for years!

If it’s to HMRC then just use toilet paper.

A thief hiding in plain view.

Asda boss warns over food price caps as EG Group deal sealed.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-65720635

How can an industry that uses the same suppliers and has half a dozen players be competitive?
I wouldn't mind so much if their cartel gave us better quality, but if flipping doesn't. These guys are the lowest of the low.
They've been allowed to rip us and suppliers off and run away with big profits for too long.

A price cap is the bare minimum that should happen.

I'm not sure how a price cap works. If it's a government subsidy then fine. If farmers are limited to how much they can charge or supermarkets are limited and pass on the costs to the farmers it could cause all sorts of problems. I can't bear the thought of getting up in the morning and finding I've got no eggs or I have an egg and no toast to rest it on. :)

I received a call from my old energy supplier a couple of days ago. The call started polite and ended five minutes later with me swearing my head off at him.

Today I get a call from the same guy while I'm trading an Italian Serie B match, so I saved time by just spending a minute abusing him until he hung up.

A price cap works because an industry that is abusing it's position, suddenly (well, not that suddenly) is subject to greater regulation.
This is what regulation is all about. It's not easy or snuggly. It's a battle.
