Ok thanks for the advice. My phone is unlocked so I was thinking about delving further, but I guess it wouldn't be sensibe.Kai wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 12:39 pmDon't do that, it's a core software component linked to device security
RANT CORNER
I've now upgraded to the latest OS. When I rebooted it was installing apps and games as one by one, I was uninstalling them. It was just like dropping litter right in front of a litter picker and watching him pick it all up.

I can take a Microsoft OS down to its nuts and bolts but I don't know much about phones. It's a bit risky, anything goes wrong and you need a new phone plus your warrantee is invalid.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 12:48 pmThere is, you need to Root it.
Users can install and run applications on rooted Android phones and tablets that require special privileges, bypass carrier-installed software, and even remove bloatware applications (as opposed to simply disabling them). Root access is even needed if you want to install trivial things like certain custom fonts, and rooting Android can also unlock new features in certain apps and launchers.
Bit of a faff but you don't want people who don't understand the tech messing about with their OS. It's easier to just let them rant about not being able to do it.![]()

I want to know what happened to the watershed? Those ads are harrowing. And then you've got all those 'true crime' progs taking about grizzly deaths, usually about women to appeal to the pervs.
Yeah, the watershed certainly did its job. You would sometimes see a pair of tits in the Sweeney but I remember really struggling to stay up until 21:00.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 1:54 pmI want to know what happened to the watershed? By the way, when I said pair of tits, Microsoft Editor asked if I meant a pair of fits.

You think you have problems, I just rebooted PC and some of my forum threads are in SpanishDerek27 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 12:53 pmI've now upgraded to the latest OS. If somebody from BA needs to have a rant they'll see your post, but otherwise you'd be better off contacting support.

Just deleted a post as I noticed the Contact support icon. Sadly that went down a rabbithole. So I'm here as potential customer and I can't make the transaction. I'm in the UK and have previously had a BA contract. Quite what is going on here is beyond me. But I'm minutes from forgetting the idea.
Which support link did you click on the forum?greenmark wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 6:35 pmJust deleted a post as I noticed the Contact support icon. Sadly that went down a rabbithole. I've just tried the one highlighted below and that also correctly opened the support desk page

No probs, we recently switched support desks so just making sure there wasn't still a link somewhere on the forum that hadn't been changed
