But this is what 52% voted for and we just have to get on with it.
Call me cynical but I suspect a large number of that 52% had no idea what they were voting for. How could they when they were told so many lies by the leave campaign.
And 28% of the possible turnout were so apathetic they didn''t bother, so in fact only 37% of the electorate created this situation. So there's a warning for the future, not only be careful what you wish for, but also don't abdicate your right to vote on a binary decision. If 100% voted we would have made the right decision (possibly the same one).
Anyhow, I'm an optimist and democratic capitalism will adapt and recover the situation. Er ... I hope.
I've just seen a news article about the Sir David Attenborough, the boat the public voted to call Boaty McBoatface. They're the people who voted for Brexit and Truss.

No, it was on Sky News. The boat's crew is carrying out scientific research in the Antarctic. They allowed the public to choose a name for it but it should have been obvious they'd come up with a daft name.

No I mean the connection with naming of Sir David Attenborough and brexit and truss supporters. BTW that's not supporters of surgical appliances. :-)

Or roof supports. :-) But I think both are useful, unlike Liz Truss.

I'm sure that members of The Truss and Hernia Support Belt Appreciation Society will be grateful for that clarification.

Sorry, Sky News just reported on the boat. I made the connection between people who wanted the boat called Boaty McBoatface and a PM called Liz Truss. :)

Just watching Frankie Boyle's show. And he described the cabinet as "a constantly changing array of dildos".
I think I lke him if he he harpoons people I don't like. :-)

Edit: that snap under pressure.

It seems all the @BetfairCS go to the same after-hours English class, as they continually punctuate every sentence with !
