Starting from 19:00 tonight, 60 hours of near-continuous rain in the forecast! With a strong southerly wind, I won't even be able to use my smoking shelter. :(
Shouldn't really rant about the weather, it's serious up north.

Sky News just had a caption saying Joe Biden's been sworn in as US president! Do they think I've been asleep for the last 24 hours?

Indian Super League is advertised as being on Freesports, instead they're showing a flipping cricket match!

Has anyone had a relationship with somebody who spends 90% of their time talking on the phone and the remainder texting? Is it even possible?

I ask this as I"m sitting at the dinner table with her.
Thought it was just my missus that had this annoying habit...

TBF she usually stops a bit during meals, but we 'watch' TV programmes together where she has her eyes in her phone for the full programme, even though she picked what to watch on TV...!

I hate to pick her up on it though, as she may 'notice' my computer useage a bit more....

There's a big difference between using a computer to earn money/make a living and chatting to your friends on social media, although I do spend a lot of time on the forum. :)

Derek - There’s a petition on Change.org and we think you might be interested in signing it.

Get all school staff and nurseries vaccinated over Feb half term so schools can reopen.

Yes, of course. Anyone who signs a petition to halt restrictions on betting deposits is likely to have that near the top of their agenda - FFS!!

Unsubscribed. :D

You'd have to be pretty sad if Christmas is the next thing you look forward to.

I used to buy 10 pence saving stamps from the post office, when you've got 10 you can cash them in for £1! But why a grown man or woman would need to buy saving stamps is beyond me.

A few years ago Morrison's checkout staff were instructed to ask if you need help packing, even if you've just bought one item! Then they'd ask if you want any saving stamps!

We used to buy them for the grandchildren to let them stick them in savings cards. Encourages saving at an early age which is not a bad thing today.
