Being ill (or virus symptoms as we know it) is just a detoxing mechanism cycle that our body goes through from time to time.
How else would it get rid of the build up of processed food, alcohol, cigarette and other toxins? There's a reason why some people are ill more often than others.
The idea that healthy people are making others sick sounds like a ludicrous conspiracy theory if you ask me. Psychological manipulation at its finest.
Even if the germ theory lie that a billion dollar industry would not exist without is true, healthy people would be less likely to spread viruses because they recover quicker and have less severe symptoms for a shorter time. Vaccines on the other hand (if they do what they say) would put pressure on viruses to evolve into deadlier or more transmittable strains, effectively making vaccinated people virus factories/training camps which are more of a danger to others

You have a warning on every packet of fags you smoke, but you still do. Tell me, is it the fags that you'll blame or do you understand the risk you take, because the warnings have been given, just like the warnings that have been given to people who choose not to get vaccinated?.
Either way Derek, you have the right to choose what you do, and don't deserve to be treated like a seven yo for making those choices.
McDonald's is a good example. They've been sued by obese people for making them fat, and somebody who spilt their coffee on their hand sued for the burns it caused. That's why their apple pies are labelled "may be hot" or a bag of nuts "may contain nuts".
If you've got a question for me just post the question without quoting something that has no relevance to the question.
No, I wouldn't blame the fags, but some people would, which was the point of my post.
Alex, this is the rant thread. You need to post that to the Covid thread.alexmr2 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 1:48 amBeing ill (or virus symptoms as we know it) is just a detoxing mechanism cycle that our body goes through from time to time.

That's Dr Alex to you!
Sorry, what or who did I quote exactly in my question to you? You wouldn't blame the fags because you've had prior warning of the implications. I think everyone has an understanding of the risks involved with a flipping pandemic... especially when there is 24hr fear porn on every screen in the world. The people who have chosen not to be vaccinated have weighed their risks and deserve to be left alone without the mockery of politicians or people like TraderPat.Derek27 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 2:12 amI didn't say you were misunderstood. What we have though is people like TraderPat that will go down in history for the discovery that in 2021 stupid people were responsible for their own decisions... he deserves the Nobel prize for his research. Stupid obviously includes you, because now we have discovered that, you only have yourself to blame for smoking Derek. Maybe we should ban you from every single freedom you love until you stop being so stupid.
Me.
No, I wouldn't blame the cigarettes because it's not the cigarettes' fault. Even if we wind the clocks back 60 or so years before the dangers were widely known, I'm not so sure the tobacco industry should shoulder the full blame if you choose to put something in your body.
Oh. I didn't realise that I quoted you on your ex... I just thought I was replying. My quoting understanding isn't all that. I'm not even sure I've made a direct comparison in my question.Derek27 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 12:06 pmMe.

I asked you the above question 3 days ago and you never responded yet here you are berating somebody on the forum and demanding they answer your question. What a hypocrite!
Or are you just baiting again?
Subtle difference. Derek replied without answering (well, he did in a roundabout way). I just didn't bother replying to you at all. So obviously there was interest in the conversation from 2 participants. With our conversation I had no interest in replying or carrying on the discussion.
We're sort of going nowhere imo... because when I've spoken to you in the past, you've taken what I've not said and come to a conclusion of what you think I've said.
I see, so in order for you to converse with somebody there has to be interest from both parties? That hasn't stopped you previously when trying to bait people though has it?jamesg46 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 12:32 pmSubtle difference. I actually never expected you to answer my question from the other day, how could you? You had already admitted to baiting people so there's no rational explanation you could give as to why you do it. It's a shame it takes place on this forum, it belongs more on social media where faceless people do it all the time.
It depends on how you view baiting. If you're making a comment in order to provoke discussion then that's normal. It's the comment that's the important aspect and how people will respond. Any forum needs discussion & you could say that ranting in itself is more suited to social media, but you're here engaging... there are multiple threads with multiple discussions but you somehow have found yourself in the rant thread and in particular the rant thread talking to me, both of which you seem to disagree with. Strange how people work.JasBarrow wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 1:10 pmI see, so in order for you to converse with somebody there has to be interest from both parties? Right, so you want to provoke discussion, but you don't want smart or expect smart people to reply - they know you're baiting.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 1:21 pmIt depends on how you view baiting. I think JasBarrow may have been wondering why you would actually want to provoke such a discussion. Or perhaps I should ask, why do you actually go out of your way to offend people?
jamesg46 wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 10:14 pmI'm hardly the best person to post this as I'm undeniably one of the worst offenders but..
In recent months we've (& if you like, i) have become wrapped up in forum debates, endlessly one after the other.
It's got to the point where I believe that, I & others are literally looking for opportunities to direct negativity towards others, maybe we've become so stale? Although there is some great times too!
My point is, nobody really cares about our spats, we do maybe, but looking in from the perspective of someone just joining the forum, we're not helping. I love seeing fresh faces, fresh conversations & i honestly believe we're stunting that growth.
Pat, Derek & the countless others I've purposely offended (gone out of my way to do so), fuck you & long may it continue.... JUST JOKING! Sorry boys, let's bury it & be mindful of how intimidating we can come across in an environment that should be welcoming.
I didn't ask or tell anyone not to reply... I think the purpose of baiting on any particular topic is actually promoting people to reply, so I'm not so sure I understand your thinking that I don't want or expect people not to reply.Derek27 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 1:45 pmRight, so you want to provoke discussion, but you don't want smart or expect smart people to reply - they know you're baiting.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 1:21 pmIt depends on how you view baiting. The post you quoted is a perfect example... like I said to JasBarrow previously, I didn't see the conversation going anywhere, he thinks I'm a nasty piece of work so a conversation between him and I may have lead to me offending him... so I left it alone.
We may not be agreeing on the current topic but I don't think I've been offensive, not purposely anyway. I may have been sarcastic & if that's perceived as offensive then I can only apologise.
You've got it the wrong way round. JB was criticizing you for demanding that I DO reply, but you don't yourself if you don't want to.
I wasn't suggesting you were deliberately being offensive on this occasion, or even offensive at all. I was just asking why you would want to go out of your way to be offensive, as you previously said in the post I quoted. It's something most of us leave behind in our teenage years.
