Yep and word has got around ... went shopping just to buy a roast for tonight and it was manic. People queuing outside the shops in the rain, welcome to the new Britain! What does it take these idiots to realise we are not going to run out of stuff. This herd may not be immune but it sure can panic (that's after they have spread the virus around as much as possible). Oh well. if the worst come to the worst I can go out and shoot a deer!

Last night they were saying meetings over the weekend and statement Monday with Wed poss a lockdown date.

But considering the speed and change of timing I suspect it coming into force as of midnight tonight to run 1st till 30th Nov

You might get £10 on E-bay for each of them next week.

SAGE are a bunch of upper-middle class midwit commie fuck-pigs.
What they haven’t yet worked out is that their gold plated public pension promises won’t be worth a wank if they carry on destroying the economy.
The government were paying people to eat out a few weeks ago and are now closing pubs + restaurants again. Clowns.

they are not "fuck pigs" they are scientists whose jobs ( in sage) is to present the science to government and not the economics etc, that is not their function.

Yes, that was clearly a big mistake and now a u-turn. With any luck, after the next lockdown we'll be eating out again at half price. :D

The extent of the restrictions for the new lockdown isn't important. All that really matters is whether or not they decide to call it tier 4. :o

These delays suggest there are still big disagreements between ministers on how far to go with it

I'd imagine a lot of businesses will collapse on this second lockdown. Then on the way out again, they will have to fund a lot of this borrowing. I'd imagine a lot of smaller business owners may just throw in the towel.
