WOW. That's some development with a fantastic outcome. Well done indeed.
Have a nice day, and I'm sure you will.

How do you have multiple accounts?
High volume players can be granted them via a master sub-account agreement.

Besides, we need additional accounts to run the Bet Angel business.
Ah, yes. I have MSA but it is all under the one address.

My volume would be nowhere near your's Peter but I can but try for 'approval' of multiple accounts ... is there a specific person I should contact?

What would you consider high volume to be?

Been reading though the thread with great interest.

I deposited 5k on Friday and placed the full amount on India to win the test with no intention of letting the bet run through to completion. When I tried to close out the position I was informed by account had been closed. After repeated attempts to have them close the existing the bet they said they were unable to do this as it was live on the exchange.

Luckily in this scenario the bet won and they’re now informing me that they will bank transfer the proceeds.
Got nowhere with BDP or customer support. Emailed Peter Jackson directly and the matter was resolved within 24 hours. Apparently they found a second account attached to some of my details set up in 2019 and their compliance team automatically closed the account 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just shows, sometimes go straight to the top!

They just need to fit some brains into the compliance team. :)

I've complained to Betfair about this. If you are going to close accounts without warning and automatically, the least you can do is resolve matters quickly.

I mean the same happened to me, so I pulled rank. But it's not fair on those like you that can't do that.

No chance.

I'm going though a bit of a farce at the moment. They asked, again, for a full verification check. So despite having provided this before I duly supplied the content through the document uploader.

Now they are saying they can't find it. So I uploaded again and emailed them a screenshot of each step I took and to which account I uploaded.

They are still saying they can't find it. It's bizarre!

Absolutely. It’s difficult to comprehend how the service can be so bad to their clients without going to someone so senior.

It would be funny if it wasn't for the fact that people depend on Betfair for their livelihood. Sooner or later they must surely start to feel it in the pocket with loss of comms and PC.

Reading between the lines, I reckon the Betfair Exchange will be sold off as a seperate entity, sooner rather than later.

Reckon there are some private business angels that would pay a good price and with sensible planning, improve/re-write the software with proper investment. They should also take the opportunity to liaise with the likes of Peter Webb (maybe on a consultancy) to ensure it will be in better shape for the long-term.

Usual problem with modern retail business ... cheaper to find new customers than keep old ones!

I doubt the bookies will want to sell the exchanges, they're doing to good a job of screwing them up. If they sold them the exchanges will become a threat to them again. As it stands now they don't really promote them and prefer to push their sportsbooks.

Can see that for sure.

I believe the exchange and bookies exists more as a symbiotic relationship. However, everything has its' price, it's just a question of how long term an investor can see ahead and market/promote the product in a better way.

Now that I think about it again and in reference to your point, the irony is now may not be a bad time to sell after all. The reason is that with all the cultural, social and political changes going on in Western society whoever owns the exchanges faces an uphill struggle to promote them anyway.
