Why do you want to live there, cheap housing and alcohol apart?
You need more reason?
I confer with weemac having lived in Kosice for 3 years
Cost of living, awesome
The people, not so much. My ex saw me as a walking cash-point and super-super racist. Everything felt like it was still a communist state from the behaviour of people to the pre-fab architecture

I learnt enough Slovakian to get by, pronouncing it I was a laughing joke at their expense

My advice for anyone would be to get yourself over to England, sort out an English bank account and then invest in a VPS
It's funny, when you do a google search for "images of <name of country> girls", you immediately wish you were there until you realise they can't all be that beautiful.

Cheap beer, cigarettes and low cost of living sounds quite tempting but I certainly wouldn't want to be in a racist or communist-like country.

you might find hungary a better fit. BF is fully legal there. hope it stays that way
any links? betfair have license in Hungary?
bf redirects to hungarian version when detecting hungarian ip.
So you want to tell me that if you earn 100k euro on betfair and buy a flat for this or apartment, if the piggy bank (tax institution) asks you where did you take the money from, you will answer them: look see betfair website redirect to the Hungarian version so it's 100% legal ? :D
you make my night  .

What are the taxes on winnings from unlicensed bookmakers in Hungary?
https://simonsblogpark.com/onlinegambli ... -gambling/

"For players, taxation of gambling winnings: Players don’t need to pay taxes on gambling wins if it’s from legally operating licensed operators. However, players do need to pay taxes on winnings from unlicensed sources (this is rarely enforced, unless it’s about really big amounts, but it’s still illegal if you don’t pay taxes on your gambling wins from foreign, unlicensed online casinos or sports betting websites)."

Generations of Slovaks over middle age are desperate for a return to full-on Communism. (The younger folk are instead desperate to leave the country.) As a friend there told me, under Communism you had a job, a roof over your head and food on the table - everything was done for you. What he didn't seem to appreciate was the dismal, often hidden cost of achieving that, especially an almost total loss of freedom. He seemed to think that was a good thing - it saves you having to think and make tough decisions! The state does your thinking for you.

Amazing how you can travel 2 hours on a plane and then feel like you're living in some parallel universe. Mind you, the way we comfortable Westerners live, behave and think is an aberration. It won't always be like this.

Not sure, man, but my advice would be that even if it doesn't work, try to keep yourself from going on some other sucper sketchy sites. Stick with what's legal.

By the way, any recommendations apart from Betfair? It's just a hobby, nothing more, but during quarantine, it was pretty handy when I won something, though it also made me realize that I should be careful with where I bet and how much I bet. Found a mobile app after reading a review and since then I've been hooked, but not in a bad way as in addicted, just really enjoying some free time on this app, but I'm interested in what you all play on, and please only secure recommandations.

Im with the same questions. I was told today by betfair chat that i can still register in Hungary and do sports betting in betfair there?
Im not totally sure what was blocked by Hungary SARA, was it the bank deposits?
So im thinking in maybe Hungary, or Austria, or Slovakia. Betfair chat also told me that they are open unrestricted in Slovakia. Does anyone know if this is true, and if theres gambling tax on winnings in Slovakia?

Hi.

In Slovakia Betfair exchange is still available and there are still no taxes from winnings.

Why do you say betfair is legal in Slovakia? Betfair is currently banned from Slovakia. You can`t enter betfair.com if you`re there
