Unusually witty and cutting for him. Did make me chuckle though.

But doesn't BJ have the party over a barrel here ?
If Sir Graham Brady goes to No10 and says BJ you got to go otherwise we change the rules. BJ just turns around and says "Sure, but I calling a general election, so tell the MP's that 60% or so will probably lose their seats"
Question would then be are the MP's willing to take that risk or just wait another year ?

The situation has become so comical I doubt many Tory MPs are happy being a Tory MP at the moment. You only need to look at their glum faces at PMQs. Even the cabinet is beginning to look as uneasy as Putin's top brass.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 1:16 pmBut doesn't BJ have the party over a barrel here ?

I'm a bit surprised that more of the lost Conservative seats aren't projected to go to the LibDems. I'd love to see a general election where Johnson not only gets humiliated but loses his own seat, which is a real possibility.

This the most likely scenario you would think. It seems BJ doesn't want to go without a fight.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 1:16 pmBut doesn't BJ have the party over a barrel here ?

We so don't need a general election thrown into all the other junk that's going on at the moment.
The queen could still refuse him, there is some old convention were if a few grounds were all are true she would not grant oneEuler wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 1:43 pmThis the most likely scenario you would think.
