So if they came to power we wouldn't have any to launch.Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 8:45 pmI never thought of that, would a LibDem ever press the button?Archery1969 wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 8:02 pmWell, i bet "Angela Rayner" is crossing and uncrossing her legs at delight as she wanted the top job. Problem is she was at the same event/party.
If we not careful we could end up with Ed Davey as the next PM. Under those circumstances I think I would prefer Putin just blows us all up.

Michael Foot: If we get elected we'll have to scrap our defence forces!!!
Dennis Healey: Don't worry, with rubbish like that in the manifesto we won't get elected.

You can tell though that Ed Davey would not launch a counter strike if needed.Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 9:54 pmI remember a Daily Mail cartoon of the eighties.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 9:16 pmNo, they are against Nuclear Weapons. Unless I've seen the wrong clip I'm not sure that is what he said. Being under investigation was just one in a list of reasons why he should resign. They probably didn't include the last 20 items.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 7:53 pmYep, he did say that. Be interesting to see what he says next.
Seeing as the LibDems have done rather well at the expense of Tory and Labour they might say "We got a lieing government and now opposition" all thats left is to now vote for us at the next General Election.
Interesting times ahead.
All this talk about drinking beer and eating curry reminds me of Bob Geldoff being photographed in a restaurant shortly after Live Aid eating Spaghetti Bolognese while people are staving - what a hypocrite.
I'm surprised there's no mention of what curries they were eating or what cheeses Downing Street had on the table.

He has lied as much as he claims Boris has. His whole defence is that he doesn't think he broke any rules ... now where have I heard that recently? And what about the lies involving Cruella de Vil ?

And I recall reading somewhere it was £200+ of curry so that's maybe £5 per guest! That's probably why there has been no mention of what curries.

I never call somebody a liar unless it's clear cut. Denying any knowledge of a party you've been to or denying knowing you're at a party is lying, plain and simple. Labour back-stabbers are out and I've heard reports of people present saying they didn't go back to work after the curry and beer and there were people present who weren't working and just turned up to a social gathering but it's yet to be verified.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 10:07 amHe has lied as much as he claims Boris has. I'm getting sick of hearing the term 'beergate'. It's only an accusation and as such, doesn't fit the criteria to be called a 'gate'.
